As Chief Executive Officer, Sade Omoniyi oversees the organization.
Folasade Omoniyi earned an Associate degree in nursing from the Lagos University Teaching Hospital Nigeria. She obtained a Bachelor's of Nursing and a Masters of Science in Nursing with an emphasis in public health from Grand Canyon University. She previously worked for Grady Health System Atlanta and the state of Georgia as a charge nurse and currently works as a registered nurse with Dekalb County. Folasade is interested and passionate about improving the quality of life of underprivileged women and children. She believes that everyone possesses great potential that if properly nurtured and equipped can yield great exploits.
DR. BUKOLA OJOAWO
Vice President
Olubukola Ojoawo is a clinical and pharmaceutical Research professional with 7 years’ experience who is self-motivated, impactful, passionate, reflective, and visionary. With a deep interest in developing, writing, and monitoring the innovation of new drugs to ensure the safety and the well-being of subjects, to ensure the integrity of clinical trial data, and who is also qualified to prepare integrated medical reports and design and set up correlating study centers. She is passionate about helping to improve their quality of life.
DR. ADENIYI ADEWALE
Board Secretary
Dr. Adewale obtained a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso, Nigeria, and a Ph.D. in Statistics from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada. He is a pharmaceutical drug development professional. He is passionate about the empowerment of others, especially people from humble backgrounds needing a chance to realize their God-given potentials. Dr. Adewale joined the board of ICDA in 2020.
SAMUEL SOWUNMI, MBA
Board Treasurer
Samuel Sowunmi earned an Associate degree in Business Administration, a BSc in Accounting, and an MBA in Project Management. He currently works at an Engineering/Construction company as the Accountant/Project Coordinator. Samuel Sowunmi has a passion for helping less privileged and underrepresented groups. He joined the board of ICDA in 2020
DR. SADE KEMBI
Program Coordinator
Dr. Sade Kembi currently serves as a public health scientist at the CDC in Atlanta, GA. Prior to her current job, she served as a laboratory scientist at various private and government parastatals in the USA. She previously worked as a lecturer at the Olabisi Onabanjo University (previously known as Ogun State
University), Nigeria before migrating to the USA. Dr. Kembi obtained a doctoral and master’s degree in Public Health. She also has a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in microbiology. She enjoys serving the underserved and underprivileged. She often provides public health services during public health emergencies including natural disasters, epidemics, and pandemics.
